SUMMARY:Strings Concert With Shelter Music Maine
DESCRIPTION:Join us Sunday\, August 24\, 2025 at 2pm for a special concert under the big tent at our Historic Maine Family Farm! \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n We are thrilled to be hosting another wonderful event for you! \nSunday\, August 24 at 2 pm: Shelter Music Maine (SMM) will bring their entire string quartet: Katherine Liccardo and Nate Lesser on violins\, Matt Consul on viola\, and Marisa Solomon on cello to Pumpkin Vine Family Farm! \nThey will be playing traditional and modern classical music as well as Scandinavian folk arrangements\, including works by Caroline Shaw\, Kenji Bunch\, the Danish String Quartet\, and more. \nThe concert will be held under the big tent on the new event lawn. Bring your own lawn chair or blanket\, or find a spot on one of our beautiful benches. Then treat yourself to a rapturous afternoon of live music\, while helping to support the mission of this amazing quartet: SMM is committed to bringing classical chamber music concerts to sheltering environments throughout Maine. Their mission recognizes that all people\, no matter their circumstances\, deserve access to the therapeutic healing powers of classical music. \nThere is a suggested donation of $25 / person\, but ALL are welcome to attend! Most importantly bring yourself\, and donate what you are able. We hope to see you: we’re planning to be there in full relaxation mode : ) Katherine & Matt are phenomenally talented\, and time just stops when they touch their strings… We can’t wait to hear them as part of a quartet; we just saw a snippet of their video and my spirits are soaring already (I’ll share it on our social media if any of you use those outlets)
