We’re celebrating all that dairy adds to our lives (imagine coffee without cream\, for starters…) \nThe day’s schedule:  \n\n       Superhero ID: When you arrive\, receive your own superhero badge and try your hand at our magical activities – receive a gold star for each activity you complete.\n       Conjuring from 12 – 1: Learn how to make that milk appear! (Hand-milking demo and practice)\n       Shape-Shifting starting at 1:30: Turn a liquid into a solid (Cheese-making demo & samples)\n       Super Sleuth ongoing all day: Can you tell the difference between cow & goat milk? (Taste test )\n       Alchemy ongoing all day: Try your hand at making dairy gold (Butter-making)\n       Magic potions: Mix and dab to make an amazing creation  (Milk art)\n\nWhile you’re here\, be sure to visit the Farmer’s Market; local farmers bring their delicious baked goods\, organic veggies\, mushrooms\, plants\, fiber\, local meat\, and of course cheese\, yogurt\, and smoothies.

DESCRIPTION:Join us Sunday\, June 22nd from 12-4pm for our very first Arts And Eats event –  featuring a meal inspired by southeast Asian flavors\, followed by a fantastic folk music concert – all right here in the beautiful fields at our historic family farm in Somerville\, ME! \n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Yes\, you can have it all : )  \nWe hope you can join us for an event that combines the best things in life – fresh food & live music – amidst the pastoral beauty of our working farm!  \nFrom 12-2\, Red Stove Farm will be serving a sit-down luncheon under our big tent\, featuring southeast Asian flavors with a dash of Morgan’s unique culinary magic. The concert is by donation; we suggest $20 / person\, but we appreciate whatever you can contribute; see full description below.  \nDINNER AT THE FARM MENU\nFind a seat at one our beautiful tables under the farm’s big tent. Tables seat from 4 – 10 people\, so find a place that suits your mood. Want to meet new friends? Join a big table! Want to focus on your own group? There’s plenty of smaller tables\, in a variety of sizes and shapes.  \n \nThe luncheon sarts with beautifully tantalizing Pepper Poppers (shown above!) to put you in that tropical mood… Red and yellow mini peppers are filled with diced mango\, cucumber\, tomato\, scallions\, cilantro; dressed with maple syrup and lemon; then topped with a dash of tajin. \nOnce the appetizers have disappeared (!)\, tables will be refreshed with a Vietnamese-Style Tomato Salad: A delicious salad with fresh tomatoes from Andrews Farm\, shallots\, onion\, and cilantro\, dressed with a garlic and lime dressing. Note: this does contain fish sauce\, but we will have a some prepared vegan/vegetarian as well. \nReady for the serious eats? Introduce yourself to Chef Morgan\, and she’ll prepare your own personal Bahn Mi Bowl: Basmati rice with carrot\, radish\, cucumber\, scallions\, pickled cabbage\, cilantro\, mint\, and basil topped with our delicious sweet and tangy sesame ginger pulled pork or tofu.  \nOnce your taste buds are tingling and your belly is singing\, push back your chair to enjoy a… \nFREEWHEELIN’ FOLK CONCERT\nJoin husband-and-wife duo Katherine Liccardo & Matt Consul for an unforgettable afternoon of music that dances between traditional & original Celtic tunes\, original songs\, Brazilian choro\, Bach\, and more!  \nKatherine and Matt met playing classical string quartets in the woods of Blue Hill\, Maine and have enjoyed a diverse musical journey together over the past 11 years.  Matt plays viola with the Portland Symphony and is a teaching artist for the Symphony’s Explorers Program which integrates classical music into Portland Public Schools. Katherine is the associate director of the Vigorous Tenderness concert series and has a full studio of violin and viola students spanning from Maine to Australia.
