Celebrate the magic of the season at our special Yule Goat celebration here at the farm in Somerville on December 8th, 2024! Rain Date will be December 22nd
In Scandinavian tradition, the Yule Goat brings presents to children at Christmas, accompanied by the Tomten, a farm gnome who looks after the well-being of the animals. Our very own Yule Goat and Tomten will be visiting with children in the barn between 11-2.
The magic starts with a traditional Scandinavian story, followed by handcrafts and hot chocolate by the fireside. Wear winter clothes & boots so you can enjoy a magical forest hike with our Yule goats, resplendent in their blankets and bells, and decorate a tree for the wild birds. Bring a sled if it’s snowy; we have amazing sledding hills!
Don’t forget your market basket: we have local crafts and farm-fresh treats at our holiday market, certain to bring yule-tide cheer from our home to yours!
