More About Pearl

Pearl is a hard-working young goat, who we know just needs time to grow into herself. As a commercial dairy, we ask a lot of our yearlings, and Pearl has contributed to our dairy while still growing up herself! Her father Galahad was a massive but mellow goat; Pearl has inherited her father’s sweetness and easy nature, but still needs time to fill out her frame. She freshened with sturdy twin boys and a beautiful udder, but an early case of mastitis affected one half. Her perfect half still produced a half gallon a day, so we are keeping our fingers crossed that she’ll have a fully functional udder after a break this winter… and maybe we’ll get some daughters in the bargain!
