Yule Goat Event

Celebrate the magic of the season at our special Yule Goat celebration here at the farm in Somerville on December 15th, 2024! Rain Date will be December 22nd
In Scandinavian tradition, the Yule Goat brings presents to children at Christmas accompanied by the Tomten, a farm gnome who looks after the well-being of the animals. Our very own Yule Goats will be visiting with children between 11-2; but this year we need YOUR help to fill the farm with tomten!
The farm’s children have grown up, so tomten are suddenly hard to find. If you have little people in your life, top them with a floppy red hat, add some fun, festive attire, and then, finish the look off with warm boots & a jacket, then come join the fun here at the farm!
The magic starts with a traditional Scandinavian story and crafts, then heads outdoors for a magical hike with our Yule Goats to decorate a tree for the wild birds.
NEW this year: Inspired by European Christmas Markets, we have expanded our market to include not only farmers, but local artisans and musicians – so you can get everything you need, from Maine Made gifts to tasty, local food, to fill your Holidays with warmth and love.
Plus, while you’re here you can gather around one of our many fire pits, grab a mug of hot mulled cider, fill your belly with some sweedish meatballs & crepes, and enjoy the season in the company of friends!!
